Annual Election Results
January 17, 2012
The annual election for five year term of commissioner for the Mayfield Fire District was held on December 13, 2011. The results of the election for the five year term (01/01/2012-12/31/2016) were Norman Stahl - 27 votes. The results of the election for the three year term (01/01/2012-12/31/2014) were Lisa Penge - 12 votes, Kenneth Cronin - 11 votes, David Tabor - 5 votes and Dan Sardelii - no votes. Norman Stahl and Lisa Penge will join Tush Nikollaj, James Yager and Norm Stahl on the Board.

Annual Election
November 09, 2011
The Mayfield Fire District will hold their annual election for a fire commissioner on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Firehouse. Any member of the fire district is eligible to submit a letter of interest for the five year position of fire commissioner. All letters of interest must be postmarked by November 23, 2011 to MFD #2, PO Box 722, Mayfield, NY 12117. You must be registered to vote in the general election to vote in the District election.

Fire at Presbyterian Church
April 28, 2011
The Mayfield Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Mayfield Presbyterian Church on Thursday, April 28, 2011. The Department was assisted with mutual aid from Northville, Broadalbin, Pleasant Square, Berkshire, Edinburg, Hope and ladder trucks from City of Gloversville and Johnstown. On stand by at mutual aid stations were Perth and Meco. There are pictures of the fire located on the website under Fire - Presbyterian Church located on the left. The department would like to thank those who assisted and supported with their efforts in the fire.

Annual Election Results

The annual election for five year term of commissioner for the Mayfield Fire District was held on December 14, 2010. The results of the election were Karen Mraz - 18 votes and Dan Sardelii - 7 votes. Karen Mraz will serve a term commencing January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2015. The other members of the Board are William Guido, Tush Nikollaj, James Yager and Norm Stahl.

Budget Adopted

The Mayfield Fire District Board of Commissioner's adopted the 2011 Budget for the District at a meeting held on October 20, 2011. The adopted budget can be found on the website on the page labeled "Annual Budget".

2011 Preliminary Budget
September 28, 2010
The Board of Commissioners adopted a 2011 Preliminary Budget at their September 25, 2010 meeting. You may view the Preliminary Budget by accessing it under the "Annual Budget" page of the website located on the left hand side. A public budget hearing will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mayfield Municipal Building. The public is welcome to attend.

BLOOD DRIVE
August 11, 2010
The Mayfield Fire District will be working with the American Red Cross to host Blood Drives in the Mayfield area. The next Blood Drive is scheduled for Saturday, August 21, 2010 between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm. This is the same day as the Bannertown Parade and Fair. Stop in before, during or after the parade and help donate blood. The Red Cross is in need of Blood Type A & O positive as local levels are becoming low. Please help spread the word to stop by and make a donation.

Preliminary 2010 Budget Posted

The Board of Commissioners set a Public Hearing on the proposed 2010 budget for the Mayfield Fire District on Tuesday, October 20, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Mayfield Municipal Building. The proposed budget is available on the website under Annual Budget on the left side of the webpage. Public comment is welcome.

Shirts For Sale
May 23, 2008
The Mayfield Fire Department is holding an ongoing fundraiser by selling t-shirts that show support for the volunteers of the department. The $15.00 donation goes to the Fire Department and is used to help provide items needed that are not covered in their annual budget. The shirts are available during business hours inside the municipal building on the second floor. They are also available at some of the functions held by the Mayfield Fireman's Association located across the street from the firehouse.

2007 Open House

The Mayfield Fire District # 2 together with the Mayfield Fire Department will hold an Open House on Thursday, October 11, 2007 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. and on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 8:00 am to 11:00 am. The public is welcome to stop in and meet the members of the department and district. There will be exhibits, displays, handouts, fire department demonstrations, tours of the building, department shirts for sale and refreshments.

Grant Equipment Installed
September 13, 2006
The Mayfield Fire District recently received grant monies toward a 60 KW generator, truck exhaust system and a gas monitor. The gas monitor was purchased in December 2005 and the generator and exhaust system were installed in September 2006. A special thanks to Firefighter Charles DeVoe for his assistance in securing this grant.

Municipal Building Closed
September 06, 2006
The Mayfield Municipal Building will be closed on Wednesday, September 6, 2006 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.. The Mayfield Fire District will be completing installation of a new generator received through a 2006 successful grant. This new generator will enable the entire building to be operational in the event of a power failure. The current generator only enables a small portion of the building to be used when there is a loss of power. Through the grant, the District will be also installing a truck exhaust system and has purchased two gas meters.

Annual Physicals

The annual physicals for the Mayfield Fire Department will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 8:00 a.m.. All members are urged to attend.

Ice Rescue Class
March 02, 2006
The Mayfield Fire Department held an ice rescue class on February 18, 2006. The training exercise was attended by 15 members of the department with both classroom training and water rescue performed.
